Accounts Officers
The accounts officers, who will be based at Kumasi, will assist the
financial vice president of GLOPEC in the maintenance of programs account
and all record keeping required for both the special account and counterpart
funds. Specific responsibility will include but not limited to the
following:
Monitor GLOPEC funds from donors
Assist the financial president for GLOPEC in the disbursement of fund from
donors.
Writing of payment vouchers
Preparation of Monthly reconciliation statement and trial balance
Handling cash withdrawals and deposits to and from programme accounts
Handling payment with duly authorized payment vouchers and ensuring that
they are entered in cash books
Keeping assets register
Preparation of tax, social security and other statutory returns and ensuring
that all payments made promptly
Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial
reports
Must be able to prepare accounts up to trial balance
Be able to structure quality fund raising
QUALIFICATION
At least ACCA in accounts
At least 5 years post qualification working experience
At least 4 years working on donor funded projects
A degree holder in accounts or its equivalent should have at least 3 years
working experience
Should have experience with Government NGOs, and World Bank accounting
system
Computer literate
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Willingness to work extra hours and sometimes on weekends
